I am a micro-fan. I have bought a total of five micro scooters from kickboard Canada so far so you know I love these products. They make GREAT product - very well engineered and build quality is superb.
I mostly ride for fun and commute from downtown to York on TTC. I rode a Kickboard Monster for 3 years before this, which I give a 5 star rating. A lot of pavement and sidewalk scooting.
Compared to traditional scooter, 3 wheel Kickboard are fun but takes a bit of learning. Took me 2 weeks to master the Kickboard Monster first time round. I only use ball-stick cuz I like being able to hold something with the other hand.
Kickboard original 2 rides similar to Kickboard Monster, but a lot lighter and faster. Downside is it’s a lot less stable when going over bumpy sidewalks or pavements downtown toronto.
I’m not a fan of the new composite board material compared to older skateboard style wooden board, but I got used to it.
Sometimes I wonder if I should have gotten another monster for stability but then when I lift this thing on and off streetcars, I knew I made the right choice.
If you want a fun scooter ride, I personally think ur choice is between a Kickboard Monster (heavier, slower, more stable) and a Kickboard Original. Again, highly biased.
